Since 2014, the UK has taken part in the war against ISIS in Iraq and Syria, dropping thousands of munitions as part of the international Coalition. While the Coalition overall has admitted to killing at least 1,437 civilians, the UK has accepted responsibility for just one — a claim Airwars set out to test. In an immersive investigation produced with The Guardian, Airwars spent over a year anylising thousands of previously classified documents, identifying at least eight incidents where the Coalition acknowledges civilian deaths that appear to be the result of British strikes. I reconstructed the scene of one of these strikes, where the youngues daughter of the Younis family was killed.
